The formula, explained

pixels = cm ÷ 2.54 × PPI

A centimeter has no fixed pixel count. 96 PPI is a starting convention for the web, not your screen’s physical density. For printing, use the resolution requested by your printer. PPI describes image pixels; DPI describes printer dots.

How to use this tool

Check the required inputs: dimension, resolution.

Choose the units and options that match your task. Calculate, check the result and use Copy or Print to keep a record. Rounding applies to the display; keep more precision in intermediate steps.

Which resolution should I choose?

At 96 PPI, 2.54 cm corresponds to 96 pixels. At 300 PPI, the same length requires 300 pixels. A 300-pixel image therefore spans 2.54 cm at 300 PPI, but 7.9375 cm at 96 PPI. For printing, confirm the requested resolution and final size before preparing the file.

Can I use a decimal comma?

Yes. Numeric fields accept 12.5 or 12,5 and spaces for thousands, such as 1 234.50. Do not mix a point and comma in one number.

Where are my inputs processed?

Calculations run in your browser. Form values are not sent to Analytics. Copying, printing, sharing or opening an external service is your choice.
